FAQ: Where Do I Include an RRSP Refund in My Income?
The platform calculates your RRSP refund and includes it in your net cashflow automatically in the Projection Section when it calculates the income tax for the year. It will automatically calculate the lower tax amount (even though in reality it comes a few months later as a tax refund).
If you would like your refund included in the Cashflow Chart. You can accomplish it by lowering your tax deductions in Discovery > Income and increase your Net Employment Income by the same amount. This is essentially what is happening anyway.
If this happens every year you might want to file a T1213 to lower your withholding tax from your employer and get that cash earlier instead of loaning it to the gov. for free. A bit of extra work, but worth it if the refunds are large (and if investments are growing).
