FAQ: How to Fix Error with Asset Allocation Not Equalling 100%
"The Total Asset Allocation of Cash, Fixed Income and Stocks in Net Return for the following accounts does not equal 100%"
If you see this error there are two likely causes:
Incomplete Investment Plan Section
This error is usually triggered when you need to complete the Foundation > Investment Plan section. Add your asset allocation and investment fees and make sure all the fields are complete at the platform is calculating a weighted return assumption at the top of the Investment Plan card.
If this is being triggered by Corporate Non Registered Accounts, please ensure the Foundation > Corporate Investment Section is completed.
Manual Overrides Don't Add up to 100%
The other cause for this error is when you have entered manual overrides to return rates that don't add up to 100%. This is likely the cause if you see the error only highlights certain accounts or certain years.
You can use the override report to see if there are overrides in the years highlighted by the error details.
Navigate to those years and either remove the overrides or ensure that cash, fixed income and stock allocations add up to 100%. You can see details on managing those overrides here.
