FAQ: Why Does My Expense Total in Discovery Not Match My Expenses in Future Cash Flow?

The total in Discovery > Expenses will include Savings/Investment contributions and Debt Payments. You can think of it more like "Total Outgoing Cash Flow".

In Foundation > Future Cash Flow the platform starts to separate out these amounts, so it shows "Expenses" and then will add Savings/Investment contributions and Debt Payments in Projections.

If this does not account for the discrepancy, the other thing to check is that "Missing Expenses" in your Cash Flow Diagram will automatically get added to your Expenses in Future Cash Flow/Projections both now and in the future. You can see how that works and how to fix it HERE.
