How to Fix Error 520 - Ending Age Does Not Match

Typically we expect income to end before expenses. This error appears when the information provided has expense assumptions ending earlier than income assumptions. If this is not intended, this will mean there are missing expenses in the final years of the plan.

How to Resolve the Error

Check the ending date of the final snapshot for both income and expense sections.

In this example the expenses will end at 90 while income continues to 95. The platform sets the max age/plan length based on the higher end age of the income or expense snapshot. So in this case, there would be 5 years at the end of the plan with no expenses.

This can be resolved by clicking the three dots on the final expense snapshot and selecting Edit Snapshot

You can then change the End Age so it matches or exceeds the income snapshot. Remember that in many plans income will end before expenses.
