FAQ: What Are My Expenses Not Updating in Scenarios?

If you are adding expenses in the Discovery Phase and they are not updating in the Projections section there are two things to check:

1. Go to your Projections table, open the Expenses columns using the ">" arrows, make sure they are not overridden (Red) to specific values. When you add overrides it prevents the data from Discovery/Foundation from flowing in.

   

2. Check your age ranges in the Discovery > Expenses phases. Make sure you're editing the right age ranges and make sure there aren't duplicate age ranges (there should be a warning at the top of the page if overlapping or duplicate Expense phases were added).

Its likely #1 that is the issue. Overrides prevent the data from Discovery/Foundation from flowing into Projections.
