Corporate Planning in Final Plan Projections
If you have activated a corporation in the profile section and filled out the core information in Discovery and Foundation, you will see those details flow through to your Projections charts and table.
Corporate Information in Charts:
All of your corporate assets, debt and income is incorporated into your charts, although you will only see it directly referenced in the income and net worth charts.
Income:
Corporate salary is included in your employment income, and dividends in either the 'other non-taxable' or 'taxable' categories depending on the type of dividend.
You can see the details of these dividends in either the corporate section of the table or by clicking the arrow > next to "Your Name" Income. There you will see what types of dividends are being drawn each year.
Net Worth:
The net worth chart includes your share of corporate real assets, investment assets and debt. This is based on your ownership share in the corporation.
Projection Table Details:
Corporation details can be found by scrolling all the way to the right in the Projections table. You can expand any of the sections by clicking the > next to the title.
Active Income & Expenses:
This will flow in from information provided in the Discovery Phase but can be overridden here. The Corp. Income & Expenses chart is linked to information provided here. Any changes done in the Projections table will also be changed in the Corp. Income and Expenses chart.
Passive Income & Expenses:
Rental Income and Expenses flow from information provided in the Discovery Phase but can be overridden here. The Corp. Income & Expenses chart is linked to information provided here. Any changes done in the Projections table will also be changed in the Corp. Income and Expenses chart.
You will also see details here for Investment Income each year.
This is calculated based on information provided in the Corp. Investment Plan during the Foundation Phase. Shifting your asset allocation or types of return will change the results in this section.
Including portfolio turnover will mean that Capital Gains income will occur even in years you are not drawing down corporate investment assets.
Corporate Tax:
This section includes detail on the type of tax being paid in your corporation each year and whether there are any dividend refunds being paid by notional accounts.
Dividends:
The dividend module shows your target dividend amount detailed in the Discovery Phase and how it fulfilled using your available dividend types.
The platform will automatically prioritize Capital Dividends, Eligible Dividends and finally Non-Eligible Dividends.
Notional Accounts:
Using the starting values from the Discovery Phase, the platform will continue to adjust your notional account balances based on income and dividends paid.
Savings & Investment Accounts:
Savings and Investment data flow in from information provided in the Discovery Phase but can be overridden here.
The platform will automatically draw down investment accounts to fund your retirement, but you can manually provide contributions or withdrawals by overriding any "Blue" number.
Returns, fees and asset allocation can be changed year-by-year for both the savings and investment accounts by clicking on the > beside "Net Return" and manually overriding the values.
Real Assets & Debts:
Real Assets and Debt information flow from the Corp. Assets and Debt section of the Discovery Phase but can be overridden here.
Sales of real assets can be triggered by using the Advanced Options.
